In connection with the matters discussed in our official letter No. 16/Abroad/276 (F.1.) of the 25th (1) April, 1932, on the subject of the Hong Kong Military
Contribution, I notice that in the correspondence from the Governor on the question of the profit by exchange on the sale of investments, a reference is given to a Colonial Office despatch, No. 431 of 26th November, 1925, in which the Secretary of State for the Colonies issued certain instructions in the matter to the Colony.

We do not appear to have seen the despatch referred to, and I shall be glad if you can let me have a copy to complete our records on the question.
Yours sincerely,
Throwway
